Acupuncture Face Lift|Cosmetic Acupuncture
Recently, the term “acupuncture face lift” has demanded for the attention of the world of cosmetic medicine. Acupuncture has been used in health treatments for quite some time now, and it has been proven effective. It was only a matter of time before its cosmetic potential was to be explored. And now, that time has come.
There are several advantages to a face lift or a cosmetic procedure done using acupuncture. Interest is sparked in a lot of patients because a face lift using an acupuncture procedure can bring you cosmetic benefits without the pain and the long recovery time. However, what every interested patient has to know is that an acupuncture face lift is not really a face lift, though it provides certain benefits that mimic those of a face lift.
The term “acupuncture face lift” may be a bit misleading. A face lift is an extensive cosmetic procedure that lifts up the skin in your face to make it look younger and to ease sagging skin and wrinkles. A real face lift requires incisions and stitches to do that. Thus, an “acupuncture face lift” cannot possibly be a face lift, and it does not try to be. If you want to seek acupuncture face lift, do not to expect the effects of a face lift so you will not be disappointed.
Acupuncture face lift falls under an entire category of acupuncture-based cosmetic treatments, which are called “cosmetic acupuncture.” The benefits of these treatments, however, cannot be compared with the treatments of real cosmetic medicine. These treatments work for shorter periods of time and are not considered as surgeries. The years of exposure to the sun, dirt, and other harsh elements, paired with the natural aging and weakening of the skin, can be quite hard on the skin, and their effects can only be remedied with actual surgery.
Although acupuncture has long been a proven science in the improvement of the skin, all the acupuncture procedures do is rejuvenate the skin; after an acupuncture face lift treatment, your skin will feel younger and more refreshed. It can reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and dark bags under the eyes, but cannot remove them just like real face lifts can.
Some cosmetic surgeons and acupuncture practitioners attest that continuous cosmetic acupuncture treatments can lead to long term benefits such as fairer and finer skin, but this is done on a long term, recurring, and continuously benefiting process, unlike a real face lift where you reap the benefits immediately after the recovery period has passed. One advantage of this, though, is that these long term benefits of acupuncture face lift can make skin look better overall and in the long run, while the effects of a surgical face lift can reverse with the passing of time.
Fortunately, however, an acupuncture face lift can also bring some benefits that cosmetic surgeries cannot. One of the reasons why acupuncture became popular was that it can provide benefits for your overall health and well-being. Thus, an acupuncture face lift can also benefit other parts of your body, not just your face. According to the science of acupuncture, the different parts of the face are affected by some of the body’s internal organs, and vice versa. Thus, any benefits to certain parts of the face can also benefit your body internally. In fact, the idea is to benefit these internal organs so that your inward rejuvenation will show on your face.
This said, acupuncture face lift has its limitations as well as its own unmatched benefits. The only way you can truly appreciate and enjoy the benefits of cosmetic acupuncture is to find a balanced set of expectations from your treatment.
