Make Your Own Flavored Lip Gloss
If you are somehow hooked into using lip gloss, you could rave as you now could take the liberty of choosing your own flavored lip gloss. Many consumer and beauty brands are now offering numerous selections for lip gloss flavors. They recognize the fact that most consumers and lip gloss users appreciate it more if the products smell fresher, look nicer, and at the same time taste better.
If you are disappointed over the current available flavors of lip gloss products, or if you could not wait any longer to have your particular flavor be released, why not make your own flavored lip gloss? You could realize that it would surely be exciting and fulfilling to finally create and mix your own flavor. Now, you could turn your favorite fruit or food flavor into a flavor of your ever-reliable lip gloss. Who knows, this could also serve as a jumpstart into your new career: that of a lip gloss maker?
It is important to keep lip gloss yummy. This is to make sure you would always enjoy applying the gloss into your lips. However, like most consumers, you could be experiencing setbacks due to the expensiveness of tins and tubes of such lip gloss products. As mentioned, it would be much less costly to make your own flavored lip gloss. It is also more fun. You certainly would be surprised at how easy it could be. Here are guidelines to do so.
First, combine vegetable oil and petroleum jelly into a bowl. After mixing is complete, put the mixture into the microwave and heat it for just 45 seconds. Do not overcook your own lip gloss. Remember that in this case, less heat is more. You now have your lip gloss. Now, for the fun and more exciting part, prepare to invent your own flavor.
Formulate a recipe for your own flavor. For a start, you could use Kool-Aid or other fruit juices, vanilla, or fruit extracts. Have the liberty to choose your own flavor. Add small amounts of your chosen flavor into the lip gloss (fresh from the microwave). Mix up the mixture altogether. Remember to put little flavor into the mixture. If the flavor is still not tasty, add some little more. Do not overdo it as you certainly would not prefer an overpowering solution. When using vanilla extract, dabbing would be sufficient as the flavor could be very powerful or overwhelming.
It is now time to store the lip gloss by putting it into your special container. You could buy small tin containers for this purpose at department stores and retailers. For practical reasons, you could even use old lip gloss containers (of course after having it washed out carefully). Your own flavored lip gloss is now done. Put it into the refrigerator and let it stand there for at least 24 hours. Doing so would help make its consistency better. After that, you could now carry your very own flavored lip gloss wherever you go. This could even be a good entrepreneurial idea.
